We are recruiting for a Data Analyst to join our growing Business Intelligence team. This analyst will interact with Data Engineers, other analysts and business stakeholders.  We are recruiting at a range of experience levels.

Expected responsibilities:

• Contribution to business projects, including estimating business value, identifying and working on reporting or analytical requirements, and designing relevant KPIs to measure success.
• Designing, building and maintaining visualisation dashboards. We primarily use Tableau but also have other reports that are sent out on various frequencies, e.g. daily reports which may be simple csv files.
• Be the primary owners for key tables in our Data Warehouse, including making additional requests from the Data Engineers where you believe additional tables would make analysis easier

Person profile:

Essential

• Strong SQL capabilities, you’ll be querying data directly from our data warehouse
• Strong experience with data visualisation tools, we use Tableau, but if you’ve had experience in other similar tools (PowerBI etc.) that is fine
• Ability to identify and specify data requirements for projects
• Comfortable with Microsoft Excel

Nice to have

• Can work out how to answer loosely defined business questions with Data
• Can identify or create relevant KPIs to understand behaviour of customers or operational processes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically interacting with non-technical stakeholders
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and practice
• Experience with languages like Python, R or similar for research style purposes (don’t worry, we’re not expecting you to be a software engineer!)
