We are seeking a skilled and proactive Windows Systems Administrator to support and maintain our enterprise IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for managing complex Windows environments, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance across servers and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, security-minded, and customer-focused, with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities


  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments (physical and virtual).
  • Monitor system logs, security alerts, and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Manage patching and vulnerability remediation across all servers and endpoints.
  • Ensure adherence to IT operations procedures, security standards, and change management protocols.
  • Assist with deployment, configuration, and maintenance of new and existing servers and infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for support, implementation, and maintenance activities.
  • Contribute to the company’s Information Security Management Program (ISMP), including:
    • Performing security monitoring and audit activities
    • Supporting policy development and compliance initiatives
    • Assisting with HITRUST CSF compliance efforts
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to enhance system performance and security.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • 5+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments (physical and virtual).
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, and Group Policy.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
  • Experience reviewing logs and investigating incidents using SIEM or log management tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, operating systems, and applications.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell required; Ansible or other automation tools a plus).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong documentation and process adherence skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in regulated environments (healthcare or similar).
  • Familiarity with HITRUST CSF or other security/compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with CyberArk PAM.

REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have high speed Internet (satellite is not allowed for this role) with a minimum speed of 25mbs download and 5mbs upload.
