About the Company 
An automotive tools & diagnostics retailer serving workshops, technicians, and enthusiasts. Product range spans hand tools, OBD/diagnostic tablets, scanners, and accessories. The near-term priority is to grow organic reach on Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and diversify beyond a heavy reliance on Google Ads.

Role Overview
You’ll own day-to-day social execution on Meta—turning technical product knowledge into clear, credible content that resonates with mechanics and technicians. You’ll plan, create, publish, and measure content, while building community trust and engagement. As results come in, the scope can expand (UGC, collabs, paid social, basic SEO support).

Responsibilities

    • Strategy & Planning
    • Build a 30/60/90-day content plan for Facebook & Instagram aligned to growth goals (reach, traffic, conversions).
    • Develop an audience-first content mix: tech explainers, product spotlights, before/after diagnostics, quick tips, how-tos, FAQs, and promotions.
    • Maintain an agile content calendar (weekly sprints; monthly themes).
    • Conduct light competitive and community research (hashtags, groups, influencers, trade pages).
    • Content Production
    • Create posts, carousels, Reels/shorts, and Story content using Canva (or similar) and simple video tools (e.g., CapCut).
    • Translate product specs into technician-friendly benefits and practical use-cases; ensure technical accuracy.
    • Write clear, concise captions with strong hooks, CTAs, and relevant hashtags; follow brand voice.
    • Source or organize UGC from customers and partners (with permissions).
    • Publishing, Community & Collabs
    • Schedule via Meta Business Suite; optimize post timing (including after-hours AWST when helpful).
    • Handle DMs/comments: answer product questions, triage support issues, and surface sales leads.
    • Identify micro-influencers/creators in the automotive/diagnostics niche for future collabs and product seeding.
    • Measurement & Iteration
    • Track KPIs (reach, saves, shares, profile visits, link clicks, CTR), and provide a weekly performance snapshot plus a monthly insights report with recommendations.
    • A/B test hooks, thumbnails, formats, and posting times; double-down on winners.
    • Maintain tidy content libraries (assets, captions, hashtags, UGC approvals)

Nice to Have

    • Coordinate light promo campaigns (giveaways, launches, bundles).
    • Partner with the owner on landing content (FAQs, feature pages) to support organic search.
    • Collaborate with future hires/contractors on SEO or paid (if/when added).
    • Genuine interest in cars/automotive or prior experience marketing to mechanics/technicians.
    • Experience with UGC programs, creator outreach, or basic influencer management.
    • Familiarity with UTMs, Link in Bio tools, and simple analytics dashboards.
    • Exposure to paid social setup/optimization or collaboration with SEO specialists.

Must-Haves

    • 3+ years social media management for product/e-commerce brands (portfolio required).
    • Hands-on with Meta Business Suite, Canva, and short-form video editing.
    • Proven experience writing for technical audiences (translating specs into practical value).
    • Strong English copy, spotless grammar, and detail-oriented proofreading.
    • Self-starter who runs a calendar, ships consistently, and reports results without hand-holding.
    • Comfortable working independently after hours (AWST) and asynchronously with daily updates.

    • Baseline metrics established.

    • +30–50% growth in average reach/post and engagement rate vs. baseline.
    • Reels as a consistent traffic driver; top formats identified.
    • Response SLAs for DMs/comments under 24 hours.
    • 90 Days
    • Organic traffic and inquiry volume trending up; repeatable content engine in place.
    • Monthly performance reviews driving clear action items (what to scale, stop, test).
    • Shortlist of niche creators and UGC partners ready for activation.
$500 - $700 a month
Type: Part-time to start (20 hrs/week), with potential to scale to full-time
Timezone: Flexible; evening coverage in AWST is a plus. Asynchronous workflows and clear
daily updates required.
