Senior Backend Developer

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll build the systems that keep Lusha fast, scalable, and reliable — powering data for millions of users across the world. You’ll own end-to-end solutions within a cross-functional squad, designing and delivering backend services that touch every part of our customer experience.

What You’ll Actually Do

• Work in an agile squad alongside product managers, designers, analysts, and world-class engineers.
• Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Node.js (Nest) within a modern microservices environment.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions, analyze data impact, and own your code from design to deployment.
• Ensure reliability through testing (unit, component, end-to-end) and continuous monitoring in production.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and drive improvements that scale to hundreds of thousands of users.
• Deploy via CI/CD, experiment with new technologies, and help set best practices for clean, efficient code.

• 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
• Deep expertise with Node.js and modern server-side frameworks.
• Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, product-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with large-scale, data-intensive systems.
• Familiarity with Kafka / RabbitMQ, Docker / Kubernetes, or event-driven architectures.
• Some frontend experience (React, Vue, Angular) — always a plus.
