Mid-Level/Senior Data Engineer (AWS | Python | Web Scraping) (USD 3.5K/month CONTRACTOR)

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Data Engineer with strong technical skills and a passion for building scalable data solutions. You’ll play a key role in collecting, transforming, and maintaining high-quality datasets that power analytics and decision-making across the organization.
 

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement efficient data pipelines using Python and AWS services (Lambda, S3, Glue, etc.)
• Develop and maintain robust web scraping systems using tools such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, and Selenium
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability across multiple sources and formats
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, software engineers, and product teams to deliver actionable insights
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our data infrastructure and best practices

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in Python and data-related libraries (Pandas, PySpark, etc.)
• Proven experience with AWS Cloud (data pipelines, storage, and processing)
• Solid understanding of web scraping frameworks and ethical data collection practices
• Familiarity with SQL and modern data workflows
• Excellent English communication skills — written and spoken (daily international collaboration)
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
• Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD and version control (Git)
